Christian music group, Go Fish to perform at Palmer Gulch
February 29, 2012
Contemporary Christian music is a perfect accompaniment for the first annual Family Faith Weekend at Palmer Gulch.
Go Fish, a popular children’s Christian music trio, will headline the event, bringing with them an infectious combination of harmonies and uplifting lyrical messages of love and faith.
One of the bands founding members, Jamie Statema was quoted on their website saying, “We take pride in our work and art, but our priority is sharing the Gospel and teaching the Bible to kids—our success doesn’t depend on the next radio single.”
Their devotion to spreading Jesus’ messages to children and their families is at the bands core. Besides touring, the band also produces vacation bible school (VBS) materials for youth directors and pastors to use in their summer programs.
Go Fish takes a fresh spin on the old hymns and Sunday school songs. With vocal percussion, pure harmonies and classic lyrics, the Go Gish guys take children’s church music to a whole new level.
“If you look back and ask kids what they made for crafts or had for treats, they probably won’t remember,” Statema said. “But the songs you learn when you’re little just stick with you.”
Palmer Gulch general manager, Josh Daiss noted that teachers and ministers can get a special discount rate on the band’s complete line of Vacation Bible School curriculum by using the “Palmer Gulch” code on their website,
The Family Faith Weekend is scheduled to run Aug. 24-26. Most of the event details are still being worked out. However, Go Fish is already scheduled to perform on Aug. 25 at 4 p.m.
Stay posted as Palmer Gulch will release more event information on their Facebook page.
