Palmer Gulch Grapes and Grinds

The Ponderosa Family Restaurant and Mountain Canyon Pub is one of many excellent places to eat in South Dakota's Black Hills region. It's conveniently located a few steps from the Lodge, and it serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. At the Ponderosa, you can choose to dine in a rustic log building with a slate fireplace or in our cozy western pub. The menu boasts many regional favorites, including:

Chuck Wagon Dinner

Compared to any other chuck wagon supper show, this open-air show take place in a remote mountain meadow. You'll ride to the show on a horse drawn covered wagon where you'll enjoy a Real Cowboy music show performed by local waddies and ranchers! Watch a real dough-boxer grill Dakota grown beef steaks over an aspen-wood campfire and taste Dutch-oven side dishes prepared right out of the chuck-box. This is Real-Western family-fun under a big South Dakota sky!

Papa's Pancake Tent

The Cook's Tent serves all-you-can-eat pancakes for just $2.50*. For breakfast, this is one the season's (Memorial Day to Labor Day) best places to eat in South Dakota. Buffalo sausage, juice, milk, coffee, and pork sausage are available for an additional fee.
